You know that feeling when your To Do list just keeps getting longer and the days shorter? This usually happens about the same time as you feel really run down and are about to get sick and your social life is also peeking, so there really isn’t much time left to do the things you’re ‘gonna’ do or ‘should’ve’ done… That was March for me. I even took a day off work, because I completely lost my voice (I talk non-stop from 5:30AM every day..) and I never take a day off work!! Because I want this space to be a positive, inspiring, happy place where you can come for a time out, I didn’t want my low energy to affect you. Therefore, March was a month off for me.
But today, on the morning of the end of daylight savings, I have just won myself an hour. And what better way to use it, then to say Goooooood Morning to all my readers out there in the world? A part from a little morning yoga, I can’t think of any:
Since I last saw you I’ve turned a year older. So far it doesn’t seem like 31 is all that bad. I am blessed with friends and family around the world in different timezones, so I was getting messages for about 48 hours! Winning! Can’t imagine celebrating my birthday in only one timezone, I love celebrating it too much to let it last for only one day!
Time is an interesting thing isn’t it? No matter how you use it, it will still keep flying past. You can’t but time in the bank, there is no interest to be earned. You just need to use time when it’s here. I saw this beautiful film clip the other day where a kid says you’ve got 86,400 to spend a day. At midnight the amount resets and whatever you didn’t use is taken away from you and you get a new 86,400 to spend for the next day. He’s talking about seconds and how the seconds go by no matter how you choose to live your life. Today I was give the gift of 3,600 extra seconds and I am going to use them wisely. I am going to spend them happy, being grateful for my health, my family, my fiancé who makes me laugh every day, my friends, my job that gives me an opportunity to change people’s lives, my colleagues I get to hang out with every day, my clients… The list is really endless when it comes to how much I am grateful for. No better day than the end of daylight savings to appreciate the sunlight, have a cup of tea (maybe even do a sun salutation) and just smile.
How are you going to spend your extra hour today? Don’t let life get in the way and make it a happy one :)
Awesome Ashild xoxo
