I realised I forgot to tell you my Something Every Day yesterday! I got up in the morning and did a leg workout (with some really heavy weights. So heavy that the guys on the leg press was friendly enough to ask me if I needed help to lift my weights on the squat rack. No thanks, I’ll lift my own weights) followed by TABATA on the treadmill, meaning 20 seconds as had as you can and 10 seconds rest. Love those 10 seconds! Then I had coffee and breakfast with a friend 🙂
Today, I had organised a walk along the beach with another friend I hadn’t seen in a few months. It was a beautiful morning, although the temperature was only 6.5 degrees when I got out of the car! Brrr! Oh well, you rug up and get on with it. We have a saying in Norway that goes like this; There is no thing called bad weather, only poor clothing. So true. But I have seen a fair bit of poor clothing in my time in Melbourne! Anyways, the walk was refreshing and really made a great start to my day! Love moving and catching up with people at the same time.
Tonight I am actually doing another Something Every Day, as I have been invited to try a new Yoga Studio with a couple of friends. So Vinyasa Yoga it is! I am addicted to yoga these days, I find it really helps with my running and just general aches in the body. And I love how nice and warm the rooms always are for yoga! If you have never tried yoga, I highly recommend it. Calms your brain and your body.
I also got invited to train with a friend for the 10km run for The Age Run Melbourne and I said yes. It’s all about setting goals, isn’t it, and I love challenging myself to beat my own records. Since my knee has not been working properly for over a year, I haven’t been doing any big runs, but it seems it’s finally letting go, so I am going to do this one!
