I am not American and I don’t do gallons and pounds, but 1 pound is 0,45kg and a gallon is 3,78litres. We know Australia is right behind (or have we surpassed) US in obesity figures and also sugar consumption, so this applies here too. And in very many other countries. You’re better off having those 10 strips of bacon a day than the added sugar!
I hope you have a happy sugar-free Friday! 🙂

This is very interesting. Thanks for the info.
No worries!
Reblogged this on anthonyvenable110.
Now I feel guilty for adding to that as a baker…
So you should! Try experimenting with sugar-free recipes or with other types of sugar?
I really do need to play around in that area more. Goodness, and gluten free stuff too. At least I have successfully subbed in coconut oil for butter in my lactation cookies! 🙂
Sounds good!
Scary stuff. I have *almost* cut out all refined sugar, its hard though, it really is in EVERYTHING.
Yep!
Scary stats, but the one thing I will NOT use is sweetener that contains 951 – it is poison!
So is sugar! Cut it all out!
I am very addicted, and then whats worse is that sugar is in EVERYTHING.
Every frigging thing that’s in a package!
Nordmenn er ikke langt etter de heller når det gjelder sukkerinntak! 😉
Nei, de blir verre og verre!
I would like to thank you for following my blog, because then I would never have found yours! You’re a very inspiring blogger. I happen to be a health enthusiast too, and that’s pretty hard to do as a student in University – you can’t imagine the unhealthiness of the food offered in and around campus. Every bit of inspiration is always helpful.
After I read this post, I thought you’d be interested in a post I read on Nerd Fitness blog about the science behind why exactly sugar is addictive and dangerous. 🙂 http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2013/06/17/everything-you-need-to-know-about-sugar/
Have a great week.
Thank you! I’m glad I can inspire someone 🙂 I’ll check it out, thanks!
I just got my very first Stevia plant, hope it has an effect on the amount of sugar I eat 🙂
Fingers crossed!! 🙂
Don’t want to sound annoying, but which reference states that sugar is indeed as addicting as cocaine?
But yes, a very good, informative post.
