Interval Running Or Bikram Yoga?

Hello all you sporty people (because that’s what you are when you’re doing Something Every Day!!) what was on the menu today?? Activity wise and food wise?

I’ve just finished a 5KM interval running session on the (old and scary) treadmill at Olympion Gym in Sitia (that kept telling me to push the STOP button if feeling out of breath or in pain… If I was to do that, I would have finished after one interval. It didn’t however tell me to stop if I felt like the treadmill was going to fall apart. I guess that’s a good thing, if not the workout would’ve ended before it started!). I was running, but it seriously felt like I had done a 90 minute Bikram Yoga session when I finished. Let’s just say the aircon facilities at Olympion might not be top notch (just like the equipment) and I was about as red as all the luscious tomatoes they have here and as wet as when I come out of the Mediterranean Sea after a swim. But you know what? It was an awesome workout and I feel sooooo much better now than before (let’s be honest here, I have been a grumpy bitch all day because I haven’t moved, so it was about time I did something to protect the world around me! You know what they say; You’re only a workout away from a great mood!) and have worked up an appetite for tonights deliciousness. I love endorphins!!

Here’s a few snap shots from the last week 🙂 I really can’t complain about life right now (not that I usually would anyway, but it doesn’t get much better than this!! Except I can’t wait to show you beautiful pictures from Norway soon!):

I love Greece 🙂 And I love life and I love travelling. And I love feeling fit and healthy, even when there’s a million temptations around me and a hundred family members (not mine, but still sort of) saying “Eat, eat, eat!”. As I like to say, Eat and be merry, but don’t be stupid about it. If it makes you feel good, it can’t be that bad for you. If it does make you feel crap on the other hand, why would you do that to yourself?

Have a happy Hump Day (today is Wednesday, right? I am not sure anymore) and do Something today that will benefit you tomorrow, small changes towards a big goal. Be awesome 🙂
