Tuesday Is The New Monday…

…and orange is the new black. Or was it pink? Now I am not sure anymore (of course it’s pink, who am I kidding?!). Who has been out and about already and done their daily Something (all hands up ‘I have, I have’)? Every Day! Right? Yes, baby! Just keep in mind it can’t be a marathon every day, only a very, very small percentage of us are built to run marathons every day. I know I am not! I am built to lift heavy weights and do more sprints than long distance (although I don’t mind the occasional half marathon either). And I think I am also built to do yoga, which reminds me I need to do more yoga (note to self; do more yoga). So, what’s on the menu for your Something today? Please do share, because I would love to know!

Maybe you started a new and better life yesterday and gave up already around dinner time last night (or even worse; at lunch time!)? Time to pick up the pieces and keep moving forward. Yes, you may have failed (such a tough word to use on yourself), but what do you need to do with these failures? Learn from them, that’s right! Because then you don’t have to make the same mistake again (because that’s just silly isn’t it?). I like these word “I have missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot .. and missed. And I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why… I succeed.” said by Michael Jordan. If you don’t know who Michael Jordan is, I guess you could use this thing called Google to find out a little more about him. You never know, you might find yourself being a little inspired.

Because we all need a little inspiration on a Tuesday. What inspires you? Have you got an inspiration board you look at every now and then (like a dream board, a Pinterest board or just some pictures on your fridge or office desk)? Pictures that always makes you smile? Or pictures that always gets you out for a run? I find that music often does that to me as well. If I listen to this song or that song I feel like crying, laughing, dancing or running, all depending on what song it is. Or youtube clips, there are millions of them. The one that makes me want to jump up and down these days (or I am actually getting a little sick of it) is The Fox by Ylvis. You must have heard it, it has a ridiculous amount of views an YouTube. Watch it and see if it makes you want to jump or dance or run or smile.

I love this quote too

Happy

Because it’s your responsibility. We have a great Norwegian saying (we have thousands of great sayings, this is just one of them) that goes “Du er din egen lykkes smed”. Translated it means something along the lines of “You are your own fortune”. Simply meaning it’s up to you to make yourself happy. Don’t rely on others. Don’t wait around for someone else to make you happy. It’s your life and your happiness. If you are miserable, change whatever is making you miserable. And what better day to start than Tuesday, because Tuesday is the new Monday! And Tuesday is the best day to wear something pink instead of black, just because you can.

Smile, you’ve got no reason not to! 🙂

    Good writing!
My happiness is trend-less, because I have MORE than happiness. I have abundant joy and assurance that God, our creator, is right!
