And Oh Em Ghee, it’s so ridiculously easy, I can’t even begin to explain it!! Or hold on, that’s exactly what I am planning on doing here! Hold on, you will now be presented for one of the easiest and tastiest recipes you have ever seen (like ever!).
You need to be a little teeny weeny organised though, because stuff needs to be frozen down in advance. All you need is;
Ripe banana and ripe mango (coconut milk or normal cream may be added, but not necessary).
All you need to do is chopping the banana and the mango in chunks and then put them in the freezer. I used a ziplock bag, you can use whatever you like. Now you need to use your patience as it needs to be frozen before you go to step two.
Waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting…
Ah, finally, you can get the frozen fruit out of the freezer and put it into a blender. And then whizz! You might have to help with a spoon to push down a little on the side, depending on your blender abilities. At first it will just look like little crumbs, but then suddenly it changes into a more creamier consistency – just like ice cream. Now, you can eat this as is or you can put a little cream or coconut milk/cream in to add a little fat to help lower the GI a little. All completely up to you. It does taste super yummy just as is!
So easy, so tasty and actually not really bad for you at all! It’s a winner! 🙂 🙂 🙂

I agree with you! This is a winner, indeed! 🙂 Thanks for sharing.

We make this all the time – it’s fab isn’t it? Throw away the ice cream machine that’s gathering dust!
Never owned one – but I am sure you can make lots of healthy ice creams as well?!
So much healthier than making banana bread out of over ripe bananas too! My kiddos cannot eat bananas fast enough and my freezer is full of them, just waiting to be used.
Very true 🙂 What they call Banana bread here, I grew up with as cake – makes more sense to me! One of my favourite cakes though 🙂
