No excuses, right? Especially not weather! In Norway we’ve got the good old saying; There’s no such thing as bad weather, only poor clothing! So, unless there’s a risk of you being taken by a tsunami or killed by bowling ball sized hail, get out there!
I went for a run along the beach earlier, refreshing. And I got to cheer on some brave triathletes too! Well done (especially to Daniella although I didn’t end up seeing her!!)! When I got home I topped it off with a combined kettlebell and pushup workout. You should try it at home!
Workout of the day:
- A ‘warm up’ run (I did a 30 min fast run, so that counts for more than a warm up, just do whatever feels right for you today!)
- 25 kettlebell swings
- 10 pushups
- 25 kettlebell swings
- 9 pushups
- And so on until you do 1 pushup and that’s your last round.
Easy right? Or, I should use the term simple, because it really doesn’t feel easy towards the end. If 25 swings sounds a bit to much to start with, do 15 or 10. And always try to do at least one push up on your toes every time. It’s the only way you’ll get better at them!
Ahh, I feel like I should really be stretching right now! Instead I went and made myself Banana Pancakes. One of those 2 ingredient recipes I love so much. Let’s just say this one might be a little overrated. I mean banana and egg. That’s it. And it’s meant to stick together and act like a pancake. It was my first try at making them, but they definitely didn’t act like normal pancakes. And they taste a bit like warm banana, fried in butter (with a little cinnamon on top). Hmmm… It might be worth saving you the trouble and the dishes of making these. Just fry up the egg in a little butter and have the banana on the side. Or, find a recipe with a little almond meal or cottage cheese to make them stick together a little better.
Now after having a few pieces of them, maybe warm banana fried in butter with a little cinnamon isn’t so bad after all… Yum. You might want to try them or something similar.
What’s on your training plan today? I might add on a little Hatha Yoga this afternoon too, just because it’s Sunday. Have an awesome day and enjoy your Something Every Day, even on a Sunday 🙂
Awesome Ashild xoxo
PS, all the pictures are taken by my vintage iPhone 3, because my camera battery was dead. That’s why they all look a little blurry in case you were wondering 🙂
